Two things that will never get old: Gary Young's clicked lookbacks and Gary Young's table tops. Tricks are for kids and style is forever. Gary hits both pretty hard in THIS episode of the Vans Video Vault shot exclusively in Gary's hometown of San Diego.
"The history of BMX evolved at the VANSrebeljam in Eindhoven, NL over the course of the first weekend in December. One hundred sixty of the world’s best riders made the journey to Eindhoven from the US, Japan and throughout Europe. Heavy hitters like Ty Morrow, Matthias Dandois, Corey Martinez, Ben Hennon, Mark Webb, Bruno Hoffman, Dan Lacey and many more showed up to participate in the event that brings unfiltered BMX riding to Europe."
Vans rookie pro from Australia Kyle Baldock definitely put his mark on the U.S.A scene in 2011. Here's an interview that was on Australian TV discussing the mental challenges he had throughout the year.
The crowd was screaming and the riders were going absolutely nuts. Pure BMX energy is the only way to explain the whole contest. Vans rider Pat Casey unleashed a new trick, the backflip decade, at the end of his jam format run and set the place on fire. Daniel Sandoval also gave the crowd a new trick with a 720 whip to barspin over the box jump; a never-been-done trick from the Vans flow rider from Socal. We've got video coming soon so stay tuned for some slo-mo action from both these guys.
