The Vans crew just returned from a week in Guam riding skateparks, snorkeling and doing demos for the troops at the US Navy base. Guam is a small tropical island about 1400 miles off the coast of Japan that has been inhabited for about 4000 years. Right now is a US territory and has insane scuba, snorkeling and a kick ass skatepark. This is the Van's team's 3rd time to Guam (2007 & 2010) and it was just as hot as the last two trips. Watch out for the video of Gary Young, Alistair Whitton, Michael Steingraber, Dennis McCoy, Coco Zurita and Ryan Guettler getting tropical in the next couple weeks. Big Thanks to Bill Marx with the NEX for all the hospitality.
Whitton, Trey & Lahsaan Shadow x Woodward Edit
9/17/12
The Shadow team took a road trip to Woodward East this summer and met up with Alistair for some of the most perfect spots even built. Fellow Vans riders Trey Jones and Lahsaan Kobza were on hand to add their brand of radness to the mix. Lahsaan has been on the endless summer trip and we can finally see some footage of him riding! Looking tech bruv!
Vans X Shadow Team Trip + Dan's Comp Video
8/2/12
Vans teamed up with the Shadow Conspiracy to do a couple bad ass shoes for this season and they took a trip out East to promote the collar with some street, parks and a demo at Dan's Comp. Just recognize how small the box jump is and all those tricks now seem super scary.
Alistair Featured Behind The Scenes at Woodward Digital Media camp
7/30/12
Kosman and Alistair teamed up to choreograph a unique zip line shot for the digital media campers at Woodward East. Alistair had loads of experience as a Hollywood stuntman having just finished a stint in Hungary on the new James Bond film and Kosman has been testing out his zip line set-up at Parlsow's trails in Riverside, California. Check out this cool behind the scenes look at the production with a guest appearance from Lahsaan Kobza and he steezy barspins. The next step is Nasty's yard once our fearless leader heals up.
Journeys King of Prussia Photos

The boys put on two shows to a very enthusiastic crowd. Scotty was all over the ramp, blasting airs close to 8ft on the mellow 5ft ramp. Scotty even kicked a flair whip and pulled it. His first since 2007! Tailwhips either way, straight double Barspin airs and all the lip tricks in the world. Scotty put on a show!

Ali had a bit of trouble with flair's and when he finally got one he rode off the side of the 40ft ramp. He was having a good time though! Ali does really good Indian air's!
Guettler came off a Colony

Nasty dog Cory Nastazio took care of the early morning news show and local newspaper interviews on behalf of the Vans team. The kid is too famous! He rode the demo's but smashed his ankle flipping the smallest hip in history in show 1, so he was chillin for the 2nd demo. Good to see Nasty ride some ramps though.

It was such a good weekend thanks Micah Krans for announcing, all the fans for attending and Journeys for having us.
There's still a few stops left, check the Journeys BBQ site to catch the next one, unfortunately the Vans BMX team only hit the King of Prussia stop so if you missed us, see you next year!

Ali at Empire of Dirt
5/23/12

"What a trip. The Red Bull Empire of Dirt in London, England was the best trip I've ever been on. The riding was amazing! I've never been more challenged on a course in my life. It had it all, Ledges, Dirt jumps, Quarters, Berms and Wall rides all in a 1 minute downhill rush. Congrats to everyone that rode just making it to the bottom was an accomplishment. I made finals and finished 13th. My lucky number."

Ali Whitton: A Day In The Life
2/3/12
When most people film a day in the life, it's usually done over the course of a weekend of several days. No only did Ali bang this out in one day, but this is actually what most of is days are like when he's not at a contest or dodging crashing helicopters in a Hollywood movie. You jealous.

We've got a whole slew of dudes headed up there to shred at what is always one of the craziest dirt contests of the year. Final Day in Phoenix with Pro-tec & Vans
3/21/11

From Alistair: "Day 3: Loaded up the RV and stopped by Stephen's house to ride his jumps in the back garden. He had a crazy 30-ft tall drop off roll in that gave you mad speed. After a fun session we stopped by Foundry Moto to do a Pro-Tec photo shoot. Foundy builds hot rod chopper bikes and there garage is a great back drop. Our friend gator is looking a bit fatter and extremely dangerous so we didn't pick the alligator up this year. Then we drove to the Aba track to check out some practice and the drag strip in back. We saw a van do a wheelie and some funny cars go 130mph. The race ended up being long but packed with excitement. Hennon had some issues with qualifying bu made it to the main with Gary and pummeled a guy who tried to make a pass on him. Hennon left him in the dirt, literally. Gazza claims he got 3rd but had to stick with a 4th place. I had a rough gate start and pulled off a 5th place finish to end the dusty weekend."
Ali & Gary in Phoenix Day 2
3/18/11

Day 2 update from Alistair: "Yet another day of sunshine and riding bikes. We headed to the airport and picked up Gazza Young then drove straight into the hood and pulled up to a half burnt down house with what would off been the hot spot of the ghetto, with a massive empty pool. Really fun flowing pool. Gary didn't harm the coping but he did do a scary tire slide to sprocket bash. So nuts. Then we hit up the Tempe bowl for a quick carve and it was time for training so we hit up a private backyard pump track to get ready for the Saturday ABA BMX race. Insane fun and alot of effort. We BBQ and chilled with the locals and might have bashed their jumps. On the way back to the house we decided to stop at the Chandler BMX track to see some old friends which turned into padding up and completely knackering ourself out with gate practice and hot laps. Good times. Headed to Foundry Moto today (Friday) to see the alligator and check out the pre-dice party. Hennon's tan is looking prime." - Ali
Ali in Phoenix
3/17/11

Alistair, Gary and Ben Hennon are all out in Phoenix this week hitting up some skateparks and racing the first day of the ABA BMX National on Saturday. Ali and Ben rode all day yesterday and had this to report: Day 1 of the Protec/Vans trip was epic. It started off at the Chandler park and it was bright and hot- mid 90s. But I was not complaining because I left 37 degree weather in PA. So I'm happy. Then we loaded the rig up and the fridge and drove into Indian land and sessioned some private trails and found the good lines. It was a little windy but we made it work. Around the jumps were mad old cars just rotting in the sun. W drove further into the desert to find a pool, but not for a quick dip- to slash some coping and carve the light. Good times. On google earth all morning to find another empty deep end. More soon. Picking up Gazza right now....
